"Le Portrait de Petite Cossette" is a very dark romance intertwined with themes of art, chaos, beauty, and the power of love. I definitely think this is worth watching if in the right mood, i.e. for something completely bizarre and unfathomly deep. The story is very slow in the beginning, and the pieces only come together at the very end, yet I felt the ending could have been so much stronger. I love the art and animation in this ova, it's really beautiful, but I guess that's the point of this story, is that art is more than just beauty, when it can encompass happiness. Overall, it's creepy and twisted, but it is also captivating.
